    Job Description: My client is specialist manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment and are committed to developing innovative products for a demanding market. This is a new role and is going to be integral to the future growth of the business. You will be responsible for assisting external research and development engineers in the advancement of new products, whilst technically supporting the business and customers designing concepts to meet requirements. This is going to be a challenging position and will require someone who has the ability to juggle the long term detailed projects with the day to day technical queries and smaller tasks. You must be Degree qualified in Electrical or Electronics Engineering and as minimum offer knowledge of electronic monitoring and control systems. Knowledge of power supplies and power electronics would be a distinct advantage in addition to strong communication skills and commercial awareness. This is an excellent opportunity of for the right candidate as the position has the potential to move in to a Development Managers role within a couple of years.

    Job Description: My client is going through an exciting stage of growth and they are looking to expand their design team in order to further explore new markets with their products. The main purpose of this position is to design and develop new products in order to meet market demand ensuring that cost, quality and safety are at the forefront of all designs. The successful candidate will project manage each design from concept, through to develop bills of materials, standard operating procedures, liaising with suppliers and creating instruction for use within production. You will offer a proven track record working within a similar role, be motivated, with a natural flair for creativity and detail. Excellent problem solving skills are required in addition to the ability to work within a pressurised environment. A Mechanical Design qualification at HND or Degree level is essential as well as knowledge of Solidworks. This position is initially for a 6 month period with a view to a permanent position being offered for the right candidate.
