    Installation Engineer

    Job Description: My client is currently going through a rapid stage of growth and they are looking to fill the new role of Installation Engineer to help form part of their support team. Reporting to the Operations Controller, this position will be responsible for all aspects of installation, technical support and providing site point of contact with clients dealing with commissioning, client training and design. You will also be required to rectify all faults on site. It is essential that the successful applicant have a proven background in electrical and mechanical maintenance of machinery. The ability to read and interpret construction, electrical and mechanical drawings is also required in addition to welding, grinding and cutting experience. This position is predominantly site based and will involve travel and working away from home during the week

My client is due to launch a new product to market and they are looking for a buyer to source, negotiate, purchase and build relationships with suppliers in the UK and abroad. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to implement the purchasing function from scratch, and be completely responsible for inventory control and ensuring all materials meet production requirements and customer demand. You will have a proven background within a senior purchasing role, ideally within a mechanical or electrical environment, possess excellent interpersonal skills, first class negotiation skills and have the ability to build strong working relationships. The ability to work on your own initiative and manage your own workload is essential. This position will potentially become part of the SMT and will be responsible for all budgets and strategic costings.

You will be part of a small team who are responsible for developing an innovative and exciting range of products which are due to be launched over the next 3 months. Day to day duties will include assembling, testing and calibration of finished products, fault finding and repairing PCB’s and producing prototypes and cable assemblies. Electronic circuit/component knowledge is essential as is the ability to use lab test equipment and find fault and repair electronic products. As you will be working in a small team, you will need to have a hands on approach and be flexible and willing to take on extra duties as and when required.
