    Job Description: My client is one of the UK’s largest mail order companies and they currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Manager to join their Senior Management Team. The main purpose of this position in to manage the relationships with suppliers to maximise the cost effective input and output of mail and packages. The ability to control, maintain and negotiate contractual relationships with couriers and mailing houses in addition to managing a team in a fast paced environment is required. This is a key role to the business and its main aim is to implement cost saving initiatives and establish strong working relationships with suppliers in order to establish maximum efficiency. The successful candidate will have a proven background in a similar role, be an effective communicator and have proven negotiating skills. Previous experience in dealing with postal enterprises is essential.

You will offer a proven track record of working within a senior management position within engineering where you have shown the ability to motivate and manage others whilst still offering a ‘hands on’ approach when required.
