Electrical Design Engineer in Newton Abbot

Our client, a progressive and forward-thinking MEP consultancy, is looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in South Devon. Your role will be centered around the development of electrical systems and or/components to exact specifications. You must have at least 2 years PQE gained within design.

What will you be doing as an Electrical Design Engineer?

  • Designing and developing electrical systems and/or components to high specifications.
  • Ensuring that attention is paid to elements such as cost, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability.
  • Conceptualising and detailing designs as well as producing, installing and testing products.
  • Taking into account customer requirements and keeping these at the forefront of the design process at all times.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Exeter 

Our client based in Exeter is looking for a proactive and hardworking In House Electrical Maintenance engineer to join their growing team. This is a great role for someone who is looking for a new challenge and wants to make the role their own and become part of the family.  


What will you be doing as an In House Electrical Maintenance engineer?

  • General maintenance and installation of all equipment in the factory.
  • Ordering and managing spare parts
  • Improving the reliability and working of the plant including working with Contractors where necessary
  • Maintain all records relating to maintenance to include PAT and FAT testing and all insurance inspection reports.
  • Attend regular meetings as and when required.
  • Liaise with fellow employees and organise contractors as and when required
  • Ensure RAMS are met when any contractor work has been carried out and consideration for waste has been liaised with the EHS Officer.

Quality Engineer in Exeter 

What will you be doing as a Quality Engineer?

  • Update as necessary all documents associated with the Quality & Environmental System & Manuals.
  • Ensure that processes needed for the Quality & Environmental System are established, implemented, and maintained.
  • Undertake internal audits of the Quality Management System (QMS) & the Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
  • Maintain and report on the performance of the Quality & Environmental System and any need for improvement.
  • Keep Management fully appraised of significant occurrences and trends that impact the quality of product or manufacturing operations.
  • Development of inspection and work instructions.
  • Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.
  • Day to day management of your workload, prioritising tasks.
  • Inspect product materials for defects.
  • Working with your colleagues to develop your knowledge base and mentoring others in your tasks.
  • Developing solutions to non-standard issues.  Identify and respond appropriately to levels of risk involved for the company.
