What does a Commercial Finance Manager Do?

Typically reporting into the MD and FD, a Commercial Finance Manager career would suit a commercial finance professional with excellent interpersonal skills and a drive to push the company forward. Alongside managing the day to day Finance function you would use data and analytics to identify commercial levers for success and use these to drive strategic and tactical initiatives.

What experience & qualifications do you need to be a Commercial Finance Manager?

  • Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Demonstratable commercial finance experience with a proven track record of successfully changing the way the business works
  • Ability to use insights and data to grow the business and predict and assess opportunities and challenges
  • Strong attention to detail but also able to think strategically
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills
  • Strong Excel and modelling skills
  • Comfortable working in a matrix management environment with dual reporting lines
