Our client is a market leading manufacturer and supplier of technical products. They are currently seeking an Operations manager to join their talented and highly esteemed team in Exeter. Among other responsibilities, you will be tasked with managing and resourcing the procurement, production, manufacturing and quality teams to ensure that safety, delivery, quality and cost metrics are met. To be successful in this role you will need to possess previous experience in a similar role along with a background in mechanical assembly production and experience using an MRP system. This role would be suitable for a Production Manager possessing the relevant experience.

- Managing and resourcing your key departments to ensure key metrics are achieved
- Seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement
- Driving lean manufacturing philosophies
- Designing and installing relevant systems to allow for continued business growth
- Forecasting and scheduling of key items
- Sourcing new suppliers and improving existing supplier relationships
- Experience within a similar position
- A background in mechanical assembly production
- Experience using an MRP system
- Strong IT skills
- Six Sigma green belt
- An excellent communicator with the ability to negotiate and build lasting relationships
