Are you a hands-on Systems Engineer looking to work for a forward thinking tech business with innovation at the core of everything they do and an impressive global client base with enviable household names? Are you experienced in the virtualisation, high end server architecture/HPC environment? Our client is looking for an Engineer with experience in system level product design and turning market and customer requirements into cost effective products and solutions.
As their Senior Systems Engineer you will be responsible for system level product design. As a trusted advisor and expert, you will turn market and customer requirements into cost effective products and solutions in a timely manner; always looking to the future for new technologies.
You will partner closely with the Senior Systems Architect and their team of on the ground Solutions Consultants to ensure the products and solutions out in the market are second to none.
The business are not only stable, having been established for over 30 years, but are currently also embarking on a period of high growth which means plenty of opportunity to advance your skills within your role and developas the company grows. The role will offer the opportunity for some remote working however a presence will be required within the office at least 1-2 days a week.
- Carry out and document product feasibility studies
- Identify new technologies, tools, and techniques
- Assist product management with the capture and refinement of market and customer requirements and the production of product requirements specifications
- Assist product management with the production of product specifications
- Produce engineering product specifications defining sub-systems and interfaces
- Produce engineering sub-system requirement specifications
- Produce engineering sub-system interface specifications
- Assist development with the production of product sub-system specifications
- Assist system integration and test with the production of system and sub-system test plans
- Assist verification and validation with the production of system test plans that replicate customer use of products
- Assist support in understanding customer issues and their replication for 3rd Line support activities
- Identify technical partnership opportunities
- Manage technical partnership relationships
- Software/Systems Development of complex multi-discipline systems
- Web and Cloud System Development
- Knowledge of Hardware Development
- Web protocols
- Web Security and encryption
- Internet Protocols
- Network Implementation – Firewalls, VPN, Routing, ISP Implementations
- Cloud Implementation
- Operating Systems – Window, Linux, RTOS
- Management Systems – Client, Server
- Virtualisation/Containerisation
- High End Server Architecture/HPC
- Disaggregation/Composable Server Architectures
- Acting as a customer facing Subject Matter Expert
- Managing Technical partner relationships
- Patent applications and management
Ideally you will also have:-
- Security Conformance Standards – CPA, FIPS
- Remote Desktop techniques and protocols – PCoIP, Blast
- Virtualised Desktop techniques and protocols – VDI, VMware, Blast, Citrix
- Audio/Visual Interfaces – HDMI, DisplayPort, USB, S/PDIF
- GPUs and their use in AI applications
- Thermal analysis
