Cathedral Appointments are currently looking for a Technical Sales Administrator to join their client who are experts in their field. You will be responsible for providing fast and accurate administrative support within the sales team. You will be dealing with customers daily, as well as updating the CRM system with new information. This is a varied role and the successful candidate will need to be able to successfully multitask to meet the needs of the business.
This is a key support role to the sales team and the successful candidate needs to be commercially aware and committed to provided a first class experience to customers. - Generation of accurate customer quotations and managing sales orders within the business system.
- Working with IT Sales Consultants to develop proposals that are right for the clients needs and objectives.
- Developing a thorough knowledge of technical specifications and keeping up to date and informed on new products, services and sales processes.
- Obtaining pricing, availability and delivery information for products and services.
- Manage purchasing, stock control and deliveries as required.
- Working closely with Finance and Technical departments to resolve issues and queries.
- Internal and External Event support
- Other sales administrative and operational activities as required.
- A keen interest in technology, a background in IT would be an advantage.
- IT proficient, including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Previous IT administration experience, understanding key concepts of hardware, software, licences, warranties.
- A smart and professional appearance that can cope with a busy demanding environment. Good organisation skills where you have multiple tasks in progress at any one time.
- Excellent communication skills – being able to successfully explain sometimes complex instructions to customers who have a range of technical understanding
- Ability to build relationships and rapport with customers, understanding their needs and requirements through effective questioning
