Clodagh Murphy MBA; BSc Business & IT

Director

Clodagh is an experienced business leader with more than three decades in the technology and IT sectors. She began her career in San Francisco in 1996 before returning to her hometown of Dublin, where she combined four years in a variety of IT roles with part-time study for her degree at Trinity College Dublin.

In 2003, Clodagh relocated to the UK and went on to hold senior leadership positions in a number of technology and IT services businesses. Notably, as Managing Director of Eclipse Internet, she led the team in doubling turnover from £20m to £40m.

More recently, Clodagh has focused her career in the South West, where she is Co-Owner of Cathedral Appointments, a leading independent recruitment specialist, and serves as a Non-Executive Director at Air Marketing Group.

Although not originally from the region, Clodagh is passionate about strengthening the South West’s business ecosystem. Having spent much of her career travelling outside the region for opportunities, she is committed to showcasing the breadth of thriving businesses where talent can build long and successful careers.

Outside of work, Clodagh is a proud mum to three children - Max (14), Tess (12), and Huxley (9). She plays hockey and cricket, and enjoys running and cycling.

Favourite place in the South West: My favourite go-to place when we have time is Mothercomb beach..... It's a perfect day especially if can fit in a bite to eat at the Old School House which is just beside the beach.

Favourite place to eat: So many... can't pick just one. My favourite evening out is at Smiths Wine Shop on Magdalen Road though. if you know you know, and if you don't, I highly recommend checking it out.

What job would you be terrible at? A primary school teacher, I learned the hard way through Covid just how difficult that job is.
