Clodagh Murphy MBA; BSc Business & IT

Clodagh Murphy leads Cathedral Appointments, which she joined in 2021. She brings 30 years of business leadership, most of it in technology and IT services. She is committed to strengthening the South West’s business community.

She began her career in San Francisco in 1996, then returned to her home city of Dublin. There she held IT and business planning roles at eircom while studying part-time for her degree at Trinity College Dublin. In 2003 she moved to the UK to join KCOM Group, where she held a series of senior operational roles. As Managing Director of Eclipse Internet in Exeter, she led a team of 140, sat on the KCOM Group executive team and grew revenue from £20m to £38m over five years. She later became Chief Operating Officer of Timico Technology Group, a private equity backed managed IT and cloud business.

Exeter has been Clodagh’s home since 2006, and she is closely involved in the region’s business and education communities. She has chaired Exeter Chamber of Commerce and ExIST, which promotes science and technology in the Exeter area. She sits on the International Advisory Board of the University of Exeter Business School, and is a governor at Exeter Maths School and a non-executive director of Air Marketing Group. At Cathedral, she is focused on showing candidates the breadth of thriving South West businesses where they can build long and rewarding careers. She also hosts TalkingHR, an invite-only event for senior HR leaders in the region.

Outside work, Clodagh is a mum of three. She plays padel and golf, and enjoys running and cycling.
