'Just wanted to pass on my thanks for a superb meeting this morning Lynsey. I believe you got a very good understanding of my background, current position and intentions; I also got from you some superb insight and a huge amount of confidence in working with you going forwards. Your knowledge of the local IT market is clearly significant and your network expansive which is impressive. The names you came up with were of course similar to mine but you also know organisations I’ve not heard of before; even ones on my doorstep who I’d not heard of but look very interesting.'

As one of the West Country’s busiest recruitment consultancies, our staff read a small mountain of CVs every day. From wonderful to weird, we’ve seen it all – including one effort covered in photographs of lions.
Office admin: two incredibly boring words that don’t even begin to sum up the diversity of duties, or depth of responsibility, the profession offers. You are the oil that silently keeps the office cogs turning. Your role is vital. In return you can expect valuable business experience and - with the right company - a decent salary and opportunities for progression.
We spend over 1500 hours at year at work so getting along with the people you work with is rather important. But what happens when you come across one of these ‘difficult’ types? Or worst, are you one of them?! A recent article in People Magazine outlined some examples we have used as inspiration!
I joined Cathedral Appointments in 1998 to cover a maternity leave and never left. I now co own the business and love my job. I've a great team of consultants who work with me in ensuring that Cathedral Appointments provide an excellent service to candidates and clients alike.
I've gained an excellent knowledge of the local employment market and have long established relationships with many leading employers in the area. I recruit for a number of commercial organisations as well as the public and not for profit sectors and have a strong network of Human Resource contacts in the region.
Lynsey has over 14 years of recruitment experience, all of which have been with Cathedral Appointments! She initially ran our office division before utilising previous knowledge and experience by taking on the IT Division in 2016. She can also be found running around sorting IT issues in the office for the rest of the team!
Ali joined Cathedral Appointments in 2017 after working in the USA for 18 months. With a customer focused approach and a strong sales background, Ali works alongside Katie on the Office Division and has built up strong relationships with a number of the SW's leading employers. She is probably the fittest (and competitive) member of the CathApps team.
