Dan Martin

Dan Martin brings over 10 years of recruitment experience to Cathedral Appointments, where he leads our Engineering & Technology specialism.  He works with businesses across the South West in sectors including maritime, aerospace and defence, civil engineering, manufacturing and logistics. He recruits for roles ranging from design and project engineering to systems, electrical and mechanical specialists.

Before joining Cathedral, Dan spent six years at Marine People, recruiting for engineering, naval and defence organisations across the UK, Europe, Canada, Australia and the Middle East. He placed people at every level from entry-level engineers to executive leadership, and became Lead Recruitment Consultant. Earlier in his career he worked in commercial shipping and freight recruitment, and as a boarding agent at South Coast ports. That hands-on experience gives him a practical understanding of the industries he recruits for.

More recently, Dan has extended his focus into technology. He connects local tech talent with businesses that need software developers, IT support, business and data analysts, product owners, cyber security specialists and cloud architects. He is known for his technical knowledge and for building long-term relationships with clients and candidates alike.
