Tax Manager Job Description
As a Tax Manager, your main responsibility will be to deliver on a wide range of tax services and manage the compliance process. It will be your responsibility to ensure adherence to laws and regulations.
You will often report into the Head of Finance or CFO. As your skillset advances, you could progress to a Tax Director and Tax Consultant.

- Deliver comprehensive tax services, manage compliance processes and provide business advice to ensure adherence to laws and regulations
- Maintain and develop client portfolios, offer tailored finance and tax advice and lead a wide arrange of tax advisory projects
- Develop specialisms in tax planning, build strong relationships with clients and provide support on complex tax matters
- Coordinate the tax team, oversee payroll functions, and take charge of training and developing team members
- Work closely with the CFO and Financial Controller to enhance internal financial controls, VAT returns and account statements
- Must be CTA, ACA, CIMA or ACA qualified with an additional accountancy/tax qualification
- Requires strong technical knowledge in personal tax and a broad range of other taxes
- A minimum of 7 years of tax experience with a proven track record as a Tax Manager or Assistant Tax Manager
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and manage a team, maintain client relationships and work collaboratively
- An adept Excel users with a comprehensive understanding of financial controls and procedures and a dynamic, process-oriented mindset
