IT Support Technician Job Description
As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance within an organisation. You will work closely with team members who raise IT problems, prioritising and troubleshooting queries and working across multi-software’s to deliver fixes. You will install computer software and perform routine maintenance tasks, including back ups to ensure stability and security. This role will also work to onboard new team members, and close down leaving team member devices, ensuring all equipment is properly logged and traceable. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of an organisations IT infrastructure.

- Act as the first point of contact for IT support via phone, email and helpdesk, working to log and categorise support tickets, provide first line support and resolve technical issues
- Provide technical support for software and hardware issues, performing fault analysis and maintenance tasks
- Support a broad infrastructure including Microsoft, Apple and Server products
- Deliver training sessions for new software, support ongoing IT projects and assist with the company intranet
- Coordinate with third parties to resolve IT requests and queries, ensuring timely solutions to IT problems
- Proficient in Office applications, printer installation, network troubleshooting and a strong understanding of Windows and Mac software
- Experience with cloud solutions like Azure, Office 365, cloud-based phone systems, security infrastructure and VPN technologies
- Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving issues with Windows and Apple devices and managing WIFI
- Relevant IT qualifications, degree or certification
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
