Environmental Engineer Job Description
As an Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for protecting and improving the environment. You will be responsible for a wide range of aspects of environmental protection including conducting assessments, implementing protection and treatment plans and developing safety procedures.
Progression opportunities for this role include Environmental Manager, or Sustainability Manager with higher responsibilities.

- Conduct assessments to review the impact of human activities on the environment, including data analysis, field investigations and preparing reports on air, water and soil quality
- Implement plans to manage natural resources and environmental impact, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet environmental regulations
- Design and implement water treatment, air pollution, and waste processes
- Conduct technical audits and provide advice on environmental policies, including plans for site remediation
- Develop site-specific health and safety protocols
- Degree qualified in environmental engineering or related field such as civil, chemical or general engineering
- Previous experience in environmental engineering beneficial
- FE and PE qualified
- Strong ability to analyse complex data and problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to think critically
