This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious and innovative business as IT Operations Manager. We are working exclusively to find our client their new people manager who will lead a team of dynamic IT professionals. The main purpose of the role is to administer and maintain IT systems (including PC and LAN equipment) using best practices throughout the business. You will also be responsible for leading, engaging and inspiring your team to deliver the best possible IT operations experience to customers. The successful candidate will have a relevant degree qualification or work experience, demonstrable ability to manage problems through to resolution and strong organisational skills.

- Manage, administer and maintain the information technology systems
- Champion IT operations best practices throughout the business
- Manage the IT Service Desk
- Lead, engage and inspire your team to deliver the best possible IT operations experience to the business customers
- Provide guidance, including day-to-day task management and coaching of individuals in the team as well as constantly seeking to improve performance of the team and communication with the wider business
- IT Operations will have a visible “CAN DO” attitude and build strong & aligned relationships with the wider business teams
- You will work with business & technology teams to continuously deliver operational efficiencies, and then zoom out to assess and report on the business impact of what you have improved
- Set and adhere to SLA's around service and service delivery
- Responsible for implementing Customer Incident Resolutions procedures
- Delivery of 1st & 2nd line IT Support as well as providing additional support during IT projects and roll outs
- Provide Tier 1 & 2 escalated on-site support for hardware (including warehouse tech), software and network connectivity issues.
- Responsible for procurement, installation and life-cycle maintenance of IT hardware and software licensing (includes PCs, peripherals, servers, networking equipment, operating systems and other software)
- Manage internal and external customers through a flexible Service Delivery Function
- Relevant degree qualification or work experience
- Strong people manager with the ability to train, motivate and develop a team to achieve success
- ITIL Service Management qualification or similar
- Consistently demonstrate professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor and discretion
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Strong communicator
- Highly organized
- Practical experience within a high transactional business environment would be advantageous
- Strong experience in server administration, installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows Server and accompanying roles
- Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information
