Copywriter Job Description
As a Copywriter, your main responsibility will be to produce compelling and interesting copy that will be used on the website, social media, brochures and printed materials, emails and press releases. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker who can adapt and adjust various tones of voice to fit the requirements.
You will also be an analytical thinker with a desire to improve. A Copywriter will be working with the Head of PR and Marketing to produce a content calendar that considers key dates and events and create content in line with this. This role will require you to be adaptable and move quickly, while maintaining a high quality.

The average salary for a Copywriter in the South West is around £30,000. This can range from £25,000 to £45,000 depending on factors like experience, location, industry and company size.

- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Understanding and applying various tones of voice to apply on documents, web copy, emails and articles
- Work with the Head of PR and Marketing to draft press materials and thought leadership content
- Understanding of SEO desirable to maximise reach of copy
- Experience with analytics desirable to measure the success of content produced and what our audience desires
Qualifications and skills required for a Copywriter Role
- Degree in English or Journalism is desirable, or extensive previous experience in copywriting and content creation
- Strong research skills: You take the time to understand the copy you need to curate by researching credible sources, data points and gathering key information.
- Proactive approach: You’ll regularly identify opportunities for growth whether that be on our website, on social or in the press.
- Creativity: You take a creative hands-on approach and have a passion and love for creating exciting copy.
- Attention to detail: The copy produced will need be of a consistently high quality and you may be responsible for reviewing and editing other members of the team’s copy
